Alex completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Waterloo in Nanotechnology Engineering, where his research focused on photophysics of organic solar cells. He completed his PhD at Stanford in Materails Science & Engineering. His PhD research focused on developing intrinsically stretchable transistors and bio-inspired sensor networks in the Bao research lab. He went on to a postdoc position at Harvard working on 3D printed soft materials for applications in actuators and microelectronics.
